Founded by Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste in 2004, the International Meeting Center, Beit Ben Yehuda, provides a welcoming forum for intercultural meetings betweens Israelis and people from all over the world. It offers a variety of seminars, programs, language courses and accommodation for all age groups.
The Parent Organization (ASF) is sending German volunteers to Israel since 1961 and hosting Israeli volunteers in Germany since 2003. ASF has already a longstanding experience in sending and hosting volunteers in a German-Israeli context.
Its programs tackle social, political, historical, cultural and religious issues. They also deal with the conflict in the Middle East, as well as German-Israeli and Christian-Jewish relations in the past and the present.
Beit Ben Yehuda has longstanding associations with various educational institutions and youth organizations, including Yad Vashem, the Israeli Youth Exchange Council and universities, as well as organizations that support Jewish-Arab or religious-secular coexistence.
Beit Ben Yehuda hopes to contribute to international understanding and strengthen cultural ties among people from Israel, Germany and across the world.
