Beskrivning av organisationen

The Intercommunal house for youth and culture in Aÿ is a popular and cultural education association under the 1901 law, established in the intermunicipal area of the “Grande Vallée de la Marne” in Champagne Ardenne.
The MJCI offers cultural and educational activities for all the inhabitants of its territory without distinction. In addition to the actions carried out its building, the MJCI offers decentralized cultural activities in a territory grouping together 14 municipalities in highly rural areas: concerts, theater, circus, short film festival, etc.
Socio-cultural activities are offered throughout the year: dance, theater, musical instruments, language courses, choir, sports and wellness activities, etc.
On Wednesdays and during school holidays, peri and extra-curricular activities are offered to children of the “intercommunalité” (and neighboring territories): cultural and manual activities: plastic arts, initiation to dance, initiation to theater, scientific culture events technical and industrial.

The MJCI is a central actor in its territory, thought of as a "3rd place" it works on a daily basis to allow the inhabitants of its territory to assert themselves as actors of their cultural and social life, to learn about new cultural practices, to share and discuss their cultures and to find spaces for socialization and solidarity.

The MJCI is a member of the Federation of MJC de Champagne Ardenne which brings together a 50th of structures in order to pool resources and skills in the service of the inhabitants of their territories. It is also member of the “Confederation of MJC in France” which bring together more then 1000 organisation in the whole France.
