Fahrten-Ferne-Abenteuer is a provider of free youth welfare according to KJHG § 75. We are providers of educational holiday camps and international youth encounters. Our around 150 volunteer youth leaders and supervisors have a solid education as youth group leaders as well as years of practical experience in youth work. In fact we promote the structures of volunteering by training, educating, reflecting and guide young people in their volunteer work. We offer around 80 activities each year starting with holiday camps for pre-school children and school kids and teens, leading to international youth exchanges and trainings for youth leaders (Juleica-Zertifizierung). Every year around 600 children and young people take part in our educational holiday camps and encounters. We stand for outdoor education and adventure bades learning where the children and teens as well as the volunteers learn to sense the environment and to treat it right by offering lots of different acitivities together with and in the nature. We dedicate ourselves to the topic of inclusion with a cooperation with Lebenshilfe Nuremberg, with whom we organize holiday camps. Furthermore we cooperate with the city of Nuremberg to provide holiday activities as well to families with low income.
