Beskrivelse af organisationen

Arktos is a Flemish expertise centre for children and young adults from 6 until 25 years old for whom the connection with school, work and society seems less evident. Nevertheless, we see the strength in every one of them. By connecting them with their surroundings, we want to empower them in their talents and skills, in every possible aspect of life. Moreover, we support parents, schools, partners and authorities in supporting these children and young adults. Regarding the authorities’ policy, we also raise our voice of critical optimism whenever necessary or wanted. Because it ís possible.
Our tools:
• Training: we strengthen children and young adults individually or in group. We coach them in their search for a self-chosen place in their society.
• Support: we strengthen parents, schools, partners and authorities working with children and young adults, just like us. We strengthen them by supporting them, tailored to each situation.
• Signalling: we strengthen society by giving children and youth a voice and by helping to shape politics.
