The Complex of Special Schools No. 4 includes: Early Support of Child Development, Special Primary School No. 44, Special School for Adaptation to Work. The school offers education, therapy, remedial classes, rehabilitation and professional pedagogical and psychological care to children and young people with intellectual disabilities (IDD). Well-equipped classrooms and the whole infrastructure are adapted to the specific needs of age and abilities of students with NI. 326 toddlers from 1 month to 7 years of age participate in Early Childhood Development Support classes. Classes include: speech therapy - under the supervision of neurologists, Animal Assisted Therapy(cat and dogs therapy),, World Experience Room, classes in the tyfloacoustic laboratory, ceramic classes, arteterapy-fairy-tale therapy, theatre, rehabilitation - Sensomotor Integration, work with the Bobath method, hydrotherapy, oligophrenic pedagogy classes, psychologist care, classes for parents.The building is free of architectural barriers and has a lift - 30 children in wheelchairs attend the school. We are also the Lead Coordination, Rehabilitation and Care Centre. The external infrastructure includes a multi-purpose recreational and sports facility adapted to the needs of disabled pupils. Mission of the school "Our aim is not only to develop skills and abilities, but also to help in the realization of the unique and exceptional quality inherent in the person of each student."
