Cur síos ar an eagraíocht

The Youth center is a place for young people between 12 and 22 years to meet each other; the staff of the Youth center (3 employees) accompanys and assists young people. The center provides premises and acts as helpdesk and information point. We spend our time with young people and offer leisure activities. The main duties of the staff are organising activities, workshops, discussions, exhibitions, events and concerts. In all activities specialised gender and intercultural work is involved. Also it`s a main aim in the youth work in Villach to support the youngsters with their ideas and projects. They should get the possibility to plan, organise and work out their whole idea or project by themselves - in fact empowerment is the word for it. There are also special long term projects like "Jugendrat", a youth participation project, youthcard - project which offers discounts in various shops, cultural and youth events, network prevention - project with social institutions working in the field of prevention. The Youth center is open Monday to Friday from 13:00 until 18:00 in the afternoon.
