Beskrivelse af organisationen

Asociacion EURONATION is a non-profit organization established in September 2017 in Cartagena (Region of Murcia). The organisation is made up of young local volunteers and youth workers who have some experience in the world of volunteering. Our main objective is to bring Europe closer to our local reality by promoting and informing about opportunities for mobility and international volunteering for young people; as well as coordinating European projects in our municipality and serving as a development platform for young people who decide to develop and try to put into practice a potential project idea.

We try to achieve our objectives by carrying out and taking part as partners in international projects, focusing the learning experience especially on the socio-cultural aspects that unite European peoples, organising training courses, meetings with young people, seminars/workshops for young people and cultural and information campaigns. In the same way, the main methodology used in our activities is non-formal education. In addition, we cooperate with national and foreign non-governmental organizations, as well as with local authorities. In short, we could differentiate the activity of our association into three types of actions:

- Informing. In particular we introduce Erasmus+, the European Solidarity Corps and many other opportunities available to young Europeans (EU aid volunteers, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs...). In a particular way we are continuously presenting these opportunities in schools in the municipality, organizing practical workshops open to all young people or giving training to other youth organizations and their young people. In addition, we collaborate with the Cartagena City Council in the preparation of sessions on mobility, in the initial training of future international volunteers, in certain aspects of the project of the international volunteers they currently host and in the management of youth exchange that we have co-designed.

- Coordinating. Our own Erasmus+ projects or sending local participants to projects of our European partners. Up to now we have implemented a youth exchange and we are in the preparation phase of two more for which we have been granted a co-financing.

- To advise. We guide any young person on the first steps to follow in the search for mobility opportunities, in the preparation of applications and other practical matters. We offer ourselves as a platform for our young partners to try to realise a project from an idea.

Finally, we would like to point out that our organization has as a target group all those young people who are committed and willing to carry out international mobility projects. Among all of them, we have young people with fewer opportunities due to social, economic or geographical obstacles and with difficult access to information or an international mobility experience, or as volunteers from local entities willing to make the leap to international volunteering. It should be noted that anyone interested in volunteering experiences is welcome in our organization.



Asociación EURONATION es una entidad sin ánimo de lucro constituida en septiembre de 2017 en Cartagena (Murcia). La organización está constituida por jóvenes voluntarios locales y trabajadores juveniles que poseen algunas experiencias dentro del mundo del voluntariado. Nuestro objetivo principal es acercar Europa a nuestra realidad local dando a conocer e informando sobre oportunidades de movilidad y voluntariado internacional destinadas a jóvenes; así como coordinando proyectos europeos en nuestro municipio y sirviendo de plataforma de desarrollo de los mismos para jóvenes que decidan desarrollar e intentar poner en práctica una potencial idea de proyecto.

Intentamos alcanzar nuestros objetivos llevando a cabo y tomando parte como socios en proyectos internacionales, centrando la experiencia de aprendizaje especialmente en los aspectos socioculturales que unen a los pueblos europeos, organizando cursos de capacitación, reuniones con jóvenes, seminarios/talleres para jóvenes y campañas culturales e informativas. Asimismo, la principal metodología usada en nuestras actividades es la educación no formal. Además, cooperamos con organizaciones no gubernamentales nacionales y extranjeras, así como con las autoridades locales. En resumen, podríamos diferenciar la actividad de nuestra asociación en tres tipos de acciones:

- Informar. En particular damos a conocer Erasmus+, el Cuerpo de Solidaridad Europeo y otras muchas oportunidades disponibles para los jóvenes europeos (EU aid volunteers, Erasmus para Jóvenes Emprendedores...). De manera particular nos encontramos continuamente presentando estas oportunidades en centros educativos del municipio; organizando talleres prácticos abiertos a todos los jóvenes o impartiendo formaciones a otras entidades juveniles y sus jóvenes. Además, colaboramos con el Ayuntamiento de Cartagena en la preparación de sesiones sobre movilidad, en la formación inicial de futuros voluntarios internacionales, en ciertos aspectos del proyecto de los voluntarios internacionales que acogen actualmente y en la gestión de intercambio juveniles que hemos diseñado de manera conjunta.

- Coordinar. Nuestros propios proyectos Erasmus+ o el envío de participantes locales a proyectos de nuestros socios europeos. Hasta el momento hemos implementado un intercambio juvenil y nos encontramos en la fase de preparación de dos más para los que se nos ha concedido una co-financiación.

- Asesorar. Guiamos a cualquier joven sobre los primeros pasos a seguir en la búsqueda de oportunidades de movilidad, en la preparación de candidaturas y otros asuntos prácticos. Nos ofrecemos como plataforma a nuestros jóvenes socios para que intenten hacer realidad un proyecto desde una idea.

Por último señalar que nuestra organización tiene como grupo objetivo todos aquellos jóvenes comprometidos y dispuestos a realizar proyectos de movilidad internacional. De entre todos ellos, contamos jóvenes con menos oportunidades debido a obstaculos de índole social, económica o geográfica y con difícil acceso a información o a una experiencia de movilidad internacional, o como, jóvenes voluntarios de entidades locales dispuestos a dar el salto al voluntariado internacional. Cabe resaltar que todo aquel jóven interesado en las experiencias de voluntariado, es bienvenido y acogido en nuestra organización.
