Opis organizacije

The municipality of Marmande is located in south west of France, in the region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Our structure consists of elected officials, employees (about 400) and volunteers. The municipality also consists of 15 - 16 different services, each responsible for a different sector that is occupied with meeting the needs of the citizens. Within our youth sector we have a Yourh Information Center (BIJ), that is responsible for all activities concerning youth and Europe, and is therefore our contact point for European Solidarity Corps.
Bureau Information Jeunesse / Youth Information Center has 4 employees, 1 daily manager, 2 youth informants and 1 coordinator of projects.

Our aims are :
- to assure a youth policy defined by the municipality
- to receive, inform and orient youth
- to identify the needs of youth
- to implement actions in favor of youth

Our target group is kids and youth between 10 - 30 years ols, in addition everyone else seeking information on youth matter (parents, teachers, etc... )
The regular activities we have are :
- information stands
- events targeted for youth
- local projects for youth and kids
- activities to echance employment and education
