Opis organizacije

The Carl Faust Foundation is responsible of the maintenance of Marimurtra Botanical Garden and keep its objectives alive and working. The Foundation was created in 1952 by german philanthropist Carl Faust, who from 1918 created Marimurtra Botanical Garden.
Its foundational aims are:
Keep and grow alive plant collections, the herbaria, the library, the archives, the laboratories and every facility in the botanical garden focused on scientific research.
Become an prestigious research center on Botany playing a role in international cooperation that contributes to the knowledge of the vegetal world and its importance in the whole of the biosphere.
Furthermore, it is also important for the foundation to work in the basis of solidarity, the contact with the social environment and to keep active the social aspects of the institution.
