Beskrivelse af organisationen

The Naturfreundejugend Niedersachsen is a recognised independent youth work organisation in Lower Saxony and the independent youth organisation of the NaturFreunde Niedersachsen. We are an open, ecological environmental association that supports the interests of children and young people (until the age of 27). Our focus is on environmental education, intercultural youth work, experiential education and seminar work. In the field of cooperation between youth work and schools, we organise environmental education and political education in form of (international) workshops, class trips and international youth exchanges.
We are committed to the democratization of all areas of life. We want to overcome capitalism and its social and ecological contradictions and strive for a socialist democracy in the sense of a humanistic, solidary, liberal and democratic social order. Our ideals and visions can only be realized in a diverse society that has overcome national borders and perspectives. Our mission statement is divided into five areas (solidarity, sustainability, democracy and co-determination, education, fun and experience). We stand up for an open society. For us, this includes tolerance, equal rights and an accepting integration of people with an international context.
