Dagtek Serviceenhet is one of several social service units of Kårkulla samkommun (Kårkulla Joint Authority). Kårkulla Joint Authority's Primary function is to provide service and care for intellectually disabled Swedish-speaking persons in Finland. Other functions are to provide work for people with disabilities according to the Social Welfare Act, to provide substance abuser care in Swedish, to maintain a work clinic and youth counselling. The inauguration date was on the 1st of August,1960. Maintained by all 33 Swedish-speaking and bilingual /Swedish and Finnish) municipalities in Finland (excluding Åland Islands).
