CDYS Youth Work Ireland was set up in 1971 to provide a service that young people in the local region could avail of. CDYS's main aim is to nurture and encourage all young people in the community to reach their full potential. Their core values include; quality youth services, the rights of young people, empowering young people, inclusiveness and advocacy. CDYS is a community based response to young peoples needs by offering them the opportunity to contribute to and participate in
social education, artistic and recreational activities.
