Beskrivelse af organisationen

The Haapsalu Youth Center was founded in 1949 which means that we celebrated our organizations 70th birthday. The Haapsalu Youth Center has 2 different goals; on the one hand, we are a youth activity center where youth from different ages can choose between 13 different interests (for example, craft, dance, art or model car racing ), with an average of about 220 participants. On the other hand, we offer every youngster a free and open youth center service.
Our youth Center consists of a main building (Wiedemann) in the Haapsalu Old Town, Kastani house is 10-minute walk from the city center and the other two (Jõõdre and Panga) are located 8 km and 15 km from the city. These four centers have the following timetable:
- Wiedemann: Sunday to Thursday 1 pm - 7 pm
- Kastani: Tuesday - Saturday 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm
- Jõõdre: Tuesday to Friday 1pm to 6pm
- Panga: Monday to Friday 1pm to 6pm
The main purpose of these four houses is to create a supportive environment and provide a range of activities for young people on leisure time. To help them organize events, write projects and put their ideas into practice. Most of the time we work with youngsters aged 7-19. We organize projects for and with youngsters. For example on 1st of June we always organize Family Day in Haapsalu. Of course some concerts for our active groups. Our people always take part of new projects, seminars, so we can be as compitent as we can. In our organization you can excperience estonian and russian culture and meet with people from diferent cultural backrounds (mostly estonian and russian).
