Beskrivning av organisationen

GOAL: Through its work, the SCOUT ASSOCIATION of SPLIT long for making a positive educational impact through the non-institutional education of children and young people, and,all the better, to contribute to the achievement of the goals of the Scout Movement, following the principles and methods conceived by the founder of the Scout Movement of the world, Sir Robert Baden Powell, which continue in a line with modern education trends.

As a positive educational influence, as the goals of the Scout organization in the covered context, we are including the effects on membership and external users through activities of interest for the general good of the wider community, and through the following domains of activity (according to the Classification of Activities of Associations - Annex No. 2, with the Law on Associations of the Republic of Croatia):

Target groups:

- Children and young people, from 7 years to more
- Adult leaders as a support to the work of children and young people

Activities are regular Scout activities, such as: trainings, excursions, multi-day excursions, wintering and camping (as multi-day activities of large groups), sports competitions and other sports activities, national gatherings (over 300 - 400 participants), seminars, courses, activities for the community, participating in national activities of a similar type, conducting social activities ...

The SCOUT ASSOCIATION of SPLIT has its own 120 m2 work space (headtquarters), then the“ Rakov jarak“ Scout Center in Fužine, manages with a scout home on Kresevo brdo, and each of the 6 member associations operates in a city space, so, sometimes, work will be organized in those spaces as well, but always under the direction and responsibility of the SCOUT ASSOCIATION of SPLIT.

Also, certain activities, again under the direction and responsibility of the SCOUT ASSOCIATION of SPLIT, will be organized in other areas - elementary schools in residence, elementary school in Hvar, where the Split scouts are successfully operating, in the premises of the association “Collegium Split through history“, in the city center, in which the President of the Split Scout Association is the Vice President, and with it, the scouts are already successfully cooperating. In addition to the above-mentioned association (Collegium Split through history), cooperation and volunteering will probably be organized in the premises of the association "Procultura-house of language and culture-Peristil", with which we have agreed cooperation and programs in our implementation. One of the places where activities are possible (under the direction of the SCOUT ASSOCIATION of SPLIT and our responsibility) is the space of the Civil Protection Center, the State Intervention Unit of Split, with which the scouts cooperate as the part of their reserve.
