Beskrivelse af organisationen

The Waldorf Institute Witten Annen is one of three training centers in Germany that offers basic training to become a Waldorf teacher. This training center was founded in 1973. The reason for the founding was the push at that time for the academization of state teacher training with the consequence that this - according to the assessment of the founders - was distancing itself from pedagogical practice and thus from the child.
This founding impulse is still valid for us today. In contrast to other educational institutions, where academization continues to advance, we are taking a special path. We deliberately do not offer any bachelor's or master's degree programs, as we would not be able to implement our pedagogical mission statement through accreditation.
