Beskrivning av organisationen

Association for Educational Development- Ekvalis is a Skopje based NGO working on a national level with young people aged 13-30. The organization has been registered in 2017. It involves more than 2000 young people in the regular programs and projects in the three main organization areas: 1) youth activism and engagement; 2) gender and LGBTQ+ equality and 3)media literacy. Ekvalis is an organization where a lot of minority member do take the leading role as activists, volunteers as staff members- mostly women at risk and LGBTQ+ members.

Associtation for Educational Development Ekvalis is a youth led youth organization that operates on a national level in North Macedonia in the past 3 and a half years. Ekvalis works with and for young people and strives to strenghthen the youth participation in the decision making processes in the macedonian society. Therefore, within its 3 strategic fields: Media Literacy; Gender and LGBT+ Equality; and Youth Activism, the organization has been persuing a variety of youth educational programs and projects to increase the level of information and empowerment for young people to take action, to become more active members of the society and to initiate the changes they wish to see in future.

The mission of Association for Educational Development Ekvalis- Skopje is to involve the citizens in the processes of social change through the cycle of education, critical approach, analysis and taking action. Association for Educational Development Ekvalis- Skopje will initiate interpersonal cooperation between citizens in spite of any barriers related to ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, social background or condition of ability.

The vision of Association for Educational Development EKVALIS is to build a community where citizens will be educated, they will question and change the social processes for the personal and collective well-being.
