Opis organizacije

We live in a world whose economy generates pollution, deforestation and climate change.

The non-profit organization Transition Minett brings together people wishing to put their knowledge and skills into concrete actions at the service of the ecological transition, a transition made up of multiple changes for a gradual passage from an initial situation (ecocide society) to a target situation (a society conscious of its limits).

Transition Minett is active in different locations - Mesa, Facilitec and the community garden BredeWee - which are all meeting points working on citizen’s participation in ecological transition, where we offer the place and space to come and:

- exchange, share, debate and imagine transition paths together,
- support citizen initiatives and projects with a societal impact,
- discover the national transition network.

In Esch, over 120 nationalities are represented, and this also shows within the Transition Minett community: a very diverse team, both in age, origins and languages, works together daily, along with volunteers of all origins and walks of life.
Engaging citizens in the transition movement is also a major part of our work. We create spaces and moments for citizens to meet and grow together, by having more awareness and about the world we live in and its flaws, and to be empowered to play a role and take part in initiatives that make it a better place.
