Opis organizacije

"Roots" is a non-profit youth organization (association) created in January 2021, by a group of young women and men in the city of Shkodër, with the aim to support and promote the development of young people, especially hard-to-reach youth. The scope of this organization is wide and includes the provision of social, legal, psychological, sportive, cultural, technological, and any other services through formal and informal education, training, courses, activities, voluntarism, scientific research and partnerships between the public and private sector, organizations, associations, institutions, various Albanians and foreigners, actors which enable the growth, socialization and integration of young people, both in urban and rural areas.
The mission of "Roots" is to influence and shape the development of the community, mainly focusing on youth empowerment. “Roots” members intend to help and support young people in becoming leaders of their communities, so to have an effective and sustainable impact in their city and beyond. The mission of "Roots" does not stop only in the city of Shkodra but extends to rural areas for young women and men who have fewer opportunities. The “Roots” team wants to help all young people realize how valuable they can be as actors of change.
