Stichting Next Nature Network is a network of makers, thinkers, educators and supporters. With members in 44 countries, they are the international network for anyone interested in the debate on our future – in which biology and technology are fusing. The aims are:
1. Share a richer understanding of nature. Spread awareness and knowledge about the changing relationship between people, nature and technology.
2. Balance biology and technology. Explore how technology is taking on its own natural momentum. Expose and strengthen the connections between the biosphere and the technosphere.
3. Save humans. Ensure a liveable existence for the people who come after us by charting a path for the future that is desirable for humanity and for the planet as a whole.
Target group: All people from 4-90 years old. They have special programs for primary school pupils and high school students to visit several museums and exhibitions. Currently these are: Space farming, Retro future, Meat the future. Space farming is: 'the future of food' at the Evoluon. This exhibition explores how we can grow our food differently in the future, or even on other planets. Retro future (museum): this is the world's first major expo about yesterday's future. What was strange and artificial yesterday is familiar or even natural today. Meat the future: scientists believe that in vitro meat could become a sustainable and animal friendly way to produce meat.
