Riga preschool educational institution "Ligzdiņa" started its operation in 2020, but the existing management core started working in May 2022, creating a new vision for the development of the institution. "Ligzdiņa" is located in Riga, Zolitūde district: address Apuzes 74. Pre-school is attended by 210 children, 60 employees, of which 38 are teaching staff (teachers and teachers' assistants). The preschool has an excellent infrastructure, it has been recently renovated: with spacious rooms and possibilities to vary their use; there are separate music, sports and computer technology rooms with appropriate equipment and a rich base of methodical materials; tidy outdoor area with outdoor classes - grain, water and meadow classes; for playgrounds, sheds, sports field, festival field, hammock rest area and a well-kept garden area with all tools. "Ligzdiņa" operates in the education of Skola 2030 competencies, integrating the school program "Leader in me" and applying outdoor pedagogy methods.The institution actively advocates for the psychological, emotional and physical safety.
The mission is: a professional and emotionally safe environment,where a child can develop individual abilities and learn skills for nowadays life.
"Ligzdiņa" is a modern, cozy, innovative institution created with new technologies, where open, full of new ideas, professional employees work with children in cooperation with the family, supporting and advising them.
