The Foundation empowers young researchers, PhD students, and higher education learners to engage with global challenges and apply their knowledge in socially meaningful ways.
Main objectives:
(O1) Promote science diplomacy and strengthen cooperation between academia, policymakers, and civil society
(O2) Support young researchers and students in developing professional and civic competences through education, mentoring, and mobility opportunities
(O3) Enhance science communication and public engagement, making research accessible and relevant to broader audiences
(O4) Foster solidarity and inclusion by involving young people with fewer opportunities in research, sustainability, and community projects
(O5) Encourage innovation and sustainability through interdisciplinary collaboration and responsible research practices
Proteus has coordinated and partnered in multiple international projects, including CatalySD, SciCom, and Sustainaware, which combine education, sustainability, and youth participation. Its multidisciplinary team of professionals works closely with universities and research institutions to ensure high-quality, inclusive, and impactful initiatives that contribute to a more connected, sustainable, and solidarity-based Europe.
