Karan Creative Media (KCM), founded in 2021 by filmmaker Karan Prashar, is a social impact organisation that uses visual storytelling as a tool for change. Its mission, “empower your story, amplify your impact”, is realised through films and creative content that give voice to underrepresented groups and promote active citizenship. KCM focuses on community empowerment, cultural heritage, dignified representation and inclusive education.
Main services:
-documentary & film production with social impact works addressing themes such as cultural heritage, ageing and social inclusion
-educational workshops on mobile filmmaking, photography, storytelling, scriptwriting and digital literacy for schools, youth & local communities
-communication support for NGOs & social enterprises to enhance visibility and fundraising through media campaigns
-creative education programmes in schools for teamwork, intercultural understanding and anti-bullying awareness
-branding support for artists, social enterprises, local businesses, & NGOs through visual identity and strategic consulting
Target groups:
vulnerable populations such as older people, persons with disabilities/chronic illness and carers; youth and students from primary to university level, including Erasmus+ & exchange participants; NGOs & community organisations in Western Greece; local communities and social enterprises promoting cultural preservation and inclusion; and professional or amateur filmmakers through regional competitions
