Beskrivning av organisationen

Polychoros Voroklinis was founded in 2022 by 20 young people with the support of Voroklini Community Council with the aim to design and implement high quality activities for youth and the general population. The subjects our members are working with include the following: Youth participation: Polychoros have been part of projects about helping young people be active citizens and participate in the democratic life. One of the projects is about explaining legislation and law proposals to young people, collecting their opinions and communicating them with decision makers like members of the parliament. Another project had to do with public consultations in order to identify needs of the community and present them to enterprises located in the community for implementation under their corporate social responsibility. Community development: Polychoros started the first Community Vegetable Garden of Voroklini, activating citizens to volunteer and offer fresh vegetables to vulnerable groups of the community,including refugees. Another project was the Sustainable Hotels where citizens shared their needs and Polychoros with collaboration with enterprises implemented some actions based on those needs. One more project of Polychoros was the re-planting of productive trees in orchards of farmers affected by fires. There are other subjects not so related to the proposed project, including environmental awareness, sports, entrepreneurship, arts, volunteerism.
