Beskrivelse af organisationen

Horizons Armenia (YHA) is a non-governmental, non-profit youth organisation founded in Yerevan in 2024. Our mission is to empower young Armenians - especially those from rural and marginalised communities - through non-formal education (NFE) and international mobility, developing the competences, values, and networks for active citizenship and civic change. Our work spans five pillars: (1) digital literacy and AI competence; (2) media literacy and information resilience; (3) civic engagement and democratic participation; (4) European-Armenian intercultural cooperation; and (5) environmental awareness and sustainable practice. Since 2024, YHA has built a track record as a specialised sending and partnering organisation. Activities include: "Smart Tools" (KA1 training, Czech Republic, 2025 - AI Booklet on SALTO Youth); "Generation Forward" (KA1 exchange, Romania, 2026 - 35 participants, 5 countries); "iA-rt" (OFAJ-funded trilateral exchange, Paris, 2026); "Shift Happens" (KA1 exchange, Czech Republic, 2026);Young European Ambassadors webinar (50+ people) and series of webinars for Armenian youth(150+ people). Total: 500+ participants, 8+ countries. Our primary target group is young people aged 15-30, focusing on those facing economic hardship, geographic isolation in regional Armenia (Shirak, Lori, Tavush, Syunik, Gegharkunik), limited mobility access, or social exclusion. We also build capacity among youth workers and educators as multipliers.
