Opis organizacije

Heart-Centered Leadership Foundation (HCLF) is a small but growing foundation. We currently have 5 staff members working at our office in San Nicolas, a district on the eastern part of the island of Aruba. HCLF was established in 2008 with the empowerment of youth at the heart of its mission. Since 2012 we have been working on empowering at-risk and disadvantaged youth to strengthen their character to become self-sufficient and resilient individuals so that they can participate in a modern world and give back to the community. The core of our work is prevention: preventing youth from making wrong choices that will negatively impact the rest of their lives. Our workshops, seminars and participatory activities promote the development of 21st century skills, life skills and mental resilience. We connect youth with older peers, who after receiving training work as group leaders and small group facilitators during our workshops for youth.
