Volunteer activities will involve 30–38 hours per week. More information about the project can be found at: https://app.smore.com/n/642mx-volunteering-with-famdif-cocemfe. Completing the online application form available there is strongly recommended to take part in the selection process. FAMDIF/COCEMFE-Murcia works at regional level to improve the quality of life and promote the inclusion of people with physical and organic disabilities. Volunteers will support a variety of activities, including the organisation of training events, seminars, and workshops; awareness-raising campaigns; educational talks in schools and universities; and initiatives aimed at improving services for people with disabilities. They may also assist with office tasks, volunteering promotion activities, computer training courses, leisure and free-time activities, and other projects that contribute to social inclusion and accessibility.
Ubytování, stravování, doprava
Volunteers will live in a shared flat in the city centre of Murcia with other volunteers. The accommodation will be rented and managed by Euroaccion Association. Each volunteer will have a private room to ensure comfort, privacy, and personal space. The coordinating organisation will cover the rent and utility bills throughout the project. In addition, the project provides food support (€184 per month), pocket money (€186 per month), local transport, medical insurance, and travel costs from the volunteer’s place of residence to Murcia and back, in accordance with the ESC programme rules.
Odborná příprava během činnosti
The volunteer will take part in the On-Arrival Training and Mid-Term Evaluation organised by the Spanish National Agency. These activities are a mandatory part of the European Solidarity Corps programme and provide participants with guidance, support, and opportunities for intercultural learning. They also offer a space to reflect on the volunteering experience, exchange experiences with other volunteers, and assess personal and professional development throughout the project.
Profil účastníka
This project is open to young people aged 18–30 who have not previously participated in a European Volunteering Service (EVS) or European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteering project. Priority will be given to young people with fewer opportunities, in line with the inclusive values of the programme. Volunteers will be selected based on their motivation, attitude, and willingness to actively participate in the project. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a genuine interest in social inclusion, accessibility, and supporting people with disabilities, as well as a strong commitment to the values of solidarity, respect, and active citizenship. Responsibility, initiative, openness to learning, and the ability to work as part of a team will be highly valued. Previous experience is not required. Basic knowledge of Spanish is appreciated, as it can facilitate communication and integration into the local community, but it is not a mandatory requirement.
