Have you ever dreamt about working in a garden and organising sustainability projects? Or have you ever had the desire to work in a fun, outgoing, creative and multinational team with lots of experience in the field of international youth work? If any of the above is true for you, then we might have the perfect opportunity for you! Our KulturHaus opens its doors to more than 400 participants of youth exchanges and trainings per year. As a Sustainability volunteer, you will have an opportunity to facilitate a learning process for these young people creating a learning environment that will encourage them to engage with nature and learn more about gardening and sustainability. Your tasks will include: Planning the space surrounding KulturHaus, designing various areas and strategies for nature-related activities; Maintaining the garden and house (taking care of the plants, compost, bird houses, beehive), implementing new ideas etc.
Ubytování, stravování, doprava
Our organisation, NaturKultur Bremen e.V., will be the coordinating organisation, in charge of all logistical matters. You will be accommodated in a flat a farm in the district our office is in, with one other ESC volunteer. You will have your private bedroom and share the kitchen, bathroom and other spaces in the flat with the other volunteer. As an ESC volunteer, you will receive health insurance, monthly pocket money for food and other expenses (290€ + 210€). Travel costs will be reimbursed depending on the travel distance (normally between 211-395€).
Odborná příprava během činnosti
In the beginning of your stay with us in Bremen, you will have a weekly meeting with your mentor at your hosting organization, to learn how everything works and you will develop your skills on the way! You will also participate in the On-Arrival and Mid-term trainings with all volunteers in Germany as well as a training with all new volunteers hosted and coordinated by NaturKultur e.V.
Profil účastníka
You can apply if you are from Albania, Kosovo, Serbia and Bosnia & Herzegovina, can join us at least from May 2025 - August 2025 and if you are interested in gardening, hands-on work, and love both teamwork and doing your own thing. Being weatherproof is also helpful because you will mostly work outside.
