Volunteering opportunity in a residential centre hosting 300 mentally handicapped adults. The centre is located in a small village in Neufvilles. The volunteer's tasks consist of daily practical and educational supervision of the disabled person. The volunteer will support the educational and pedagogical team in the day-to-day supervision of the residents (helping dressing up, cooking meals, playing with the residents, going for a walk,...). Half of his time, the volunteer will be involved in a home hosting 15 residents. The other half, they will be involved in a workshop offered by the centre (painting, soap, ironwork, farm, etc.), where they will help the residents to carry out the tasks proposed to them. They will gradually be asked to carry out different tasks at their own pace. The volunteer will help to organise the centre's events throughout the year (carnival, soapbox race, open day, etc.) and trips organised for residents.
