Musica Impulse Centre inspires a conscious and adventurous approach to sound and music. We create accessible environments around music and sound, for enthusiasts and professionals alike, from the very young to the very old, where they can (re)discover their own musicality and listen with new ears. The volunteer will be involved in the daily operation of the organisation: ● production of audiovisual content for different projects (photographing and/or filming of activities, post production; photo selections, video-editing, publication or other); ● supporting the production team in various projects (actively helping out at events or during workshops, material management, technical support, loading & transport of decors, assembly and disassembly of installations/materials); ● support in the maintenance of the sound art installations in ‘Het Klankenbos’, with the guidance of a colleague; ●support in the practical preparation of our educational projects on site and on location.

Ubytování, stravování, doprava

- a studio in Neerpelt, 10 min. walking distance from the Musica offices, (with a well equipped kitchen, 2p bed, private bathroom, television set. Washing machine & dryer are available at the Musica offices); - a monthly budget of 200€ for food during your stay + 6€ pocket money per day; - reimbursement of 1 return flight from your home to the Musica offices. The nearest airport is Eindhoven (EIN). Brussels Zaventem Airport is also possible but more complicated in terms of transport; - free access to the gym at the Dommelhof Sports centre; - a bicycle.

Odborná příprava během činnosti

- Pre-departure, On Arrival and Mid-Term Training - Global Competence Certificate: a blended learning program to develop global skills essential to live, work, and make a real social impact around the world. - Task-related training at the workplace by professional staff. - Possibility to learn the Dutch language on the work floor, combined with a language course.

Profil účastníka

● You have technical insight and some knowledge of technical material (audio/lights/video). ● Preferably, you have experience in capturing and editing videos and/or photography. ● You are enthusiastic and have a hands-on mentality. ● You have organisational skills, work efficiently and are result-driven. ● You’re able and willing to do physical work (for ex. loading and unloading a van, construction of decors). ● You are interested in culture, art and music. ● Ability to work with children. ● You have a positive mentality and a good sense of humor. ● You are a team player but can also take independent initiative where necessary. ● You are stress resistant and able to deal with unexpected situations. ● You are proactive and look for solutions when something is going wrong or needs extra attention. ● You are social and empathetic. ● You are prepared to work in a flexible way and to do occasional evening or weekend work. ● You are fluent in the English language, both written and spoken. ● A driving license (type B) is a great plus.
