In this project We want to host one european volunteer in Portugalete, (Euskadi), from sept 2025 to jul 2026 (10 months, with flexibility). The main objectives of the project within the entity's strategy for the development of European programs for young people in the municipality are: - Gathering the groups' needs: support for activities, volunteer management, presence, etc. - To Promote and contribute to the value of the youth volunteering in the municipality - To Support for entity activities - Review and draft the "PAS Volunteer Support Plan" with the organization's core and project teams - Improve the quality of the services and proposals directed at our member groups and the community in general With this project, we pretend that the WELCOME VOLUNTEER improves his personal skills, broadens his knowledge in youth volunteer activities as well as the management and support of volunteers INFO: https://labur.eus/PAS_EU_VOL_2025_PAS ENTITY PIF: https://labur.eus/PAS_EU_PIF

Type of Accomodation Single Room in a shared flat with another European volunteer, (electricity, heating, Wi-Fi and water difusion included). Close to the place of volunteering and public transport in Portugalete. Local transportation Metro and bus monthly-pass for local transport (70 journeys/month). Another information Local Sports Centre free access: swimming pool and other facilities
Odborná příprava během činnosti
- Arrival training (first 3-4 days) in order to introduce the volunteer in the city and the project. - Training upon arrival of the N A together with other volunteers welcomed. 5-6 days (online or face-to-face depending on the measures in force) - Mentoring meetings every 2 or 3 weeks, (minimum one per month), in order to follow the experience and learning of the volunteer. - Mentor available by phone and WhatsApp in case of necessity. - Mentoring methods based in non-formal education and informal meetings. - Regular OLS (Online Linguistic Support) Training according to the ESC
Profil účastníka
- EU resident - Previous experience as a volunteer or as a participant in leisure/skating groups or in socio-educational programmes is an advantage. - Experience and/or motivation to work with children, adolescents and youth through socio-educational programs and Educational Leisure Time. - Age between 20 and 30 years old. It would be valorated: - Knowledge and previous experience in European programmes: European Solidarity Corps, E+,… - Ability to communicate in English and/or Spanish will be valued (minimum level required to communicate with staff, participants and local volunteers)
