The volunteer will collaborate with ASPEm Bolivia in Cochabamba, supporting individual and group training processes for women in situations of vulnerability, including women with disabilities. The role will be carried out in coordination with ASPEm and local partner organizations such as Tukuy Pacha, which contribute to inclusive development with a focus on priority populations through strategic, community-based actions. Their core mission is to ensure that processes are inclusive and accessible to the most excluded and marginalized population. Key responsibilities include: supporting training workshops, providing individual accompaniment and facilitating group activities for women, also with disabilities; assisting in data collection and systematization; and contributing to the development of training and awareness-raising materials on gender equity and social inclusion. The volunteering takes place Monday to Friday (30–40 hours per week, excluding travel time).

Majutus, toitlustus, transport

The house is in Cochabamba, where ASPEm’s local office is based, a city offering activities, courses, shopping centers and services. It is in a safe area, shared with other volunteers, each person having a private, lockable room. Utilities such as water, gas, electricity and internet are included. The house is close to shops, pharmacies and banks. It has good access to safe and affordable public transportation. Vegetarian/vegan options are limited, but there is more variety available in the city center.

Koolitused tegevuse ajal

ASPEm promotes training spaces to strengthen key competencies related to inclusive facilitation, individual and group support for persons with disabilities, gender equity and social inclusion. Online meetings with other volunteers involved in the project are planned, as opportunity for training and exchange of experiences, challenges and good practices. They will have access to platforms such as OLS, GOT and SALTO, and will strengthen transversal skills such as autonomy, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving. All will be certified through the Youthpass.

Osaleja profiil

We are looking for a motivated and committed individual with a spirit of service, ready to actively participate in community-based processes and contribute to the empowerment of marginalized groups. Key qualities include empathy, respect for diversity, intercultural sensitivity, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset. Experience working with persons with disabilities is highly valued. Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing educational and communication activities are appreciated, as is familiarity with the CBR-ID (Community-Based Rehabilitation and Inclusive Development) strategy. A strong understanding of gender perspectives, including masculinities, and competencies in project design, monitoring, and management will be considered strong assets. Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Ice-land, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
