Formación en Villa Javier
Fundación Tudela Comparte
Tudela, Španělsko
Popis
They collaborate with local employees and volunteers in a job training program promoted by Villa Javier, aimed at people experiencing poverty or social exclusion, most of whom are immigrants. This is an organic farming program. Young people from ESC will: - participate in learning how to grow vegetables organically in small gardens, which will later be supplied to Villa Javier residents and sold at the local market. - will also learn to collaborate with program leaders in getting to know and helping people in the learning and social inclusion process, preparing them for later access to regular employment.
Ubytování, stravování, doprava
We offer young people from ESC initial accommodation in a shared apartment, although they can later choose other accommodation if they are interested. We provide them with monthly money to pay for their accommodation and living expenses, as well as spending money. They will have a person who will act as a tutor and offer them personal support (bank account, medical care, knowledge of the city, etc.). Days off and vacations are as per the program and its schedule. Tudela is a small city, so it is not necessary to use public transport; we can also provide you with a bicycle.
Odborná příprava během činnosti
ESC youth receive basic training to learn about our organization and our Villa Javier and Mejana Gourmet projects. They are informed about our principles, operating system, and the role of volunteers. They can participate in other training activities organized by the organization (basic cooking, organic farming, etc.) or in the city (languages, university talks, etc.). Volunteers will also participate in training activities organized by the Spanish National Agency for International Cooperation, both during the initial phase of their stay in Spain and during the intermediate phase.
Profil účastníka
The Villa Javier project requires ESC volunteers to be sensitive to the problems of people living in poverty, many of whom are immigrants, and to assist them in their social reintegration. ESC volunteers need initiative to carry out their tasks and a willingness to interact with people of other cultures and languages. To achieve this, it is necessary to be able to communicate in Spanish, at least at an intermediate level. ESC volunteers must be able to work as part of a team, act responsibly during activities, and evaluate their performance alongside the organization's staff/supervisor.
