Apprentis d’Auteuil is a Foundation composed of more than 200 youth centers. Its goals are to welcome, educate, train and insert more than 40,000 young people in distress and accompany their families. We help them to gain confidence in themselves and the adult world. We develop the individual talent and personal skills of each young person and help them to find their place both professionally and personally. The family center in Montdidier is responsible for supporting disadvantaged families and their children (administrative assistance, parenting support..) Your main task will be to support disadvantaged young people and parents in their extracurricular life, training, leisure and integration. More specifically, you will : - Set up activities/workshops for children and their parents on the themes of the environment, ecology, digital technology, food, etc. - Set up times of exchange and awareness (workshops, games..) on different themes - Contribute to set up a friendly space

You will be based in Montdidier, in the Somme department, in the Hauts-de-France region (6000 inhabitants) The organisation will provide an accommodation for the future volunteer (in a furnished studio in autonomy or in a family or intergenerational shared house), in the town of Montdidier with easy access to shops, markets . You will be given an allowance to buy your transport pass. By train, it is easy to reach the city of Amiens, in 40 minutes from Montdidier station. A car can be made available to you during your leisure time, in agreement with the person in charge of the Maison.
Odborná příprava během činnosti
The French national agency for ESC projects will run 2 seminars in which the volunteer will be invited to take part. Also, you will have access to the OLS platform which offers online french trainings during your mission. Apprentis d’Auteuil also provides training such as « how to animate an activity on education for citizenship and international solidarity ».
Profil účastníka
We are looking for a volunteer who is willing to work in a team and is able to make proposals. The candidate must be motivated to work with young people in difficulty. The volunteer must be willing to share his/her culture and meet other people. This mission is particularly suitable for any candidate who is willing to open up to others and to have human relations, to discover the professions of the social sector. The volunteer who wishes to get involved in this mission must have a certain ability to listen and, if possible, animation skills. Basic French skills are required in order to be able to communicate with families and paid and volunteer staff. The mission will be adapted according to the wishes and skills of the candidate.
