Kirjeldus

Our organization's main purpose is the conservation of the natural environment of Thrace by monitoring birds of prey as key indicators of biodiversity, while also promoting projects that support the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature. Volunteering activities include the restoration of the National Park of Dadia–Lefkimi–Soufli, monitoring of vultures and other birds of prey in Thrace, and assessing the impact of wind farms on birds. Volunteers also assist in the promotion and testing of alternative methods to reduce human–wildlife conflicts, support and participate in various educational and awareness events, actions, and projects, and contribute to data management, map creation, and the analysis of camera trap photos. Additional tasks involve assisting anti-poison dog unit patrols in detecting poison baits and poisoned animals, supporting sampling and transmitter fitting on vultures, monitoring bird locations using transmitters, and helping in the rescue of injured raptors,
