Open Youth Work In Estonia
MTÜ Eesti Avatud Noortekeskuste Ühendus
Tartu, Eesti
Kirjeldus
Join us for a transformative 12-month European Solidarity Corps adventure in Estonia! We're seeking enthusiastic volunteers to become part of our vibrant youth work team in a welcoming small community. AEYC, the umbrella organization for youth centers across Estonia, is proud to offer you the chance to experience our unique open youth work approach. Our youth centers are open spaces where young people aged 7-26 can simply walk in and be themselves—no registration, no mandatory participation, no barriers. Whether they want to hang out with friends, play games, do homework or just relax, everyone is welcome regardless of their background. This inclusive philosophy creates a truly diverse and dynamic environment where you'll work alongside our dedicated team, helping to organize creative events and activities while maintaining this welcoming atmosphere. You'll immerse yourself in authentic Estonian culture, experiencing life beyond tourist trails while learning valuable life skills.
Majutus, toitlustus, transport
You'll be provided with comfortable apartment accommodation including WiFi, your own bed, and a fully equipped kitchen—you may share your room with another volunteer. You'll receive €6 daily food allowance to organize your meals as you wish, plus €5 daily pocket money. Your travel to Estonia and back home is covered according to European distance calculator limits, and local transportation costs for your work commute are also provided.
Koolitused tegevuse ajal
The Estonian National Agency provides on-arrival training where you'll meet fellow ESC volunteers and learn essential information about living in Estonia. A mid-term evaluation offers the opportunity to reflect on your experience and connect with other volunteers. You'll have a dedicated mentor providing regular guidance and support for both personal and project-related matters. AEYC will introduce you to open youth work principles, ensuring you understand our inclusive approach and develop practical skills for working with young people.
Osaleja profiil
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and experiences! While previous experience in youth work or education is valuable, we don't limit ourselves to experienced applicants only. What matters most is your willingness to learn, work hard, and embrace new challenges. You should be open-minded, motivated, and ready to commit fully to the project, even during Estonia's tough, cold and dark winter months. If you're enthusiastic about working with young people, eager to step outside your comfort zone, and prepared to give your best throughout the entire year, we'd love to hear from you. Your attitude and dedication matter more than your CV! We only ask the applicants to fill out the application form here: https://forms.gle/pNfTuoWjJF7z7U2d9
