Be You 3x3 Challenge Youth Event is an annual volunteering team initiative taking place in Târgoviște, Dâmbovița region, Romania. The community event brings together ESC volunteers to contribute to local development through hands-on activities and teamwork. The program includes community engagement initiatives, green space arrangement and youth space maintenance, sports activities, and youth-focused community events. Our goal is to promote active citizenship, well-being, participation in sports, environmental care, and social inclusion. Volunteers will play an active role in supporting the implementation of all community activities. Their main tasks will include helping with the development and arrangement of youth spaces (such as assembling and organizing facilities), maintaining green areas, and assisting the organization’s staff in preparing and running community events such as educational workshops, sport events (3x3 basketball) and other community events.
Majutus, toitlustus, transport
The volunteers will be accommodated in Târgoviște, in shared rooms with 3–4 volunteers per room. The accommodation includes a common kitchen equipped with a fridge, microwave, and stove. Volunteers will receive a daily allowance of €6 for food and basic necessities, along with €4 per day as pocket money. Travel expenses to and from Romania will be reimbursed in accordance with the travel documents provided and the ESC program’s official guidelines. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ACCOMMODATION AND ITS ENTIRE CONSTITUTE IS A STRICTLY NON-SMOKING ENVIRONMENT.
Koolitused tegevuse ajal
Volunteers will attend a pre-departure training before leaving and will be instructed for the activities during the project. Under the guidance of the volunteer coordinator, the volunteers will set learning goals and will learn how to deal with tasks related to the development of activity.
Osaleja profiil
Volunteers should be aged between 18-29. The project is focused only on participants with fewer opportunities, who will benefit from additional support according to the ESC programme. Requirements: interest in community events, motivation to develop organizational skills, good communication skills, minimum B2 English level, and team work skills. Volunteers must be flexible, responsible, positive and energetic as they will be part of an international team and will work with smaller and rural communities.
