Are you ready to create, connect, and make an impact by the Baltic Sea? We are looking for 2 motivated volunteers to join our team in Liepāja for a 59-day short-term journey!

Together, we’ll organize inspiring events for youth and local people, help to make a new office space to life for ur association, and dive into the daily creative flow of NGO work. If you love working with people, bringing fresh ideas, and taking on hands-on practical tasks, this opportunity is waiting for you!

More likely you'll stay in a place with a separate room, but a shared kitchen and other facilities. It may be also a small flat for you. You will receive a food allowance to purchase and prepare your own meals. Sometimes we will cook lunch together. Sustainability is an important part of Radi Vidi Pats, and cycling is the main way to get around, we will arrange a bicycle for you if it's comfortable to get around like this!

Oplæring under aktiviteten

You will receive practical training related to your tasks, including non-formal education methods, sustainability practices, community engagement, event organization, creative communication and project-specific skills (e.g. bicycle repair, creating hiking routes, using maps etc., if needed). If necessary, you can attend Latvian or English language courses. During the project, you will participate in mentoring sessions, reflections and self-development activities, strengthening your skills, confidence, emotional well-being and personal growth.

Who we are looking for?

  • You enjoy working with people, helping out at community events, and creating an inclusive, warm atmosphere for everyone.
  • You are eager to roll up your sleeves - whether that means decorating a cozy new hostel space, setting up workshops or take a part in beach cleanups.
  • You adapt easily to the daily flow of NGO work, enjoy dynamic group activities, and you're not afraid of sudden changes in plans.
  • You want to learn how NGO works, share your own skills, and immerse yourself in daily life in Liepāja.

Key Skills & Mindset:

  • Interest in non-formal education, community projects, and youth engagement.
  • Willingness to do practical tasks (decorating, organizing, event setup).
  • Good basic English communication skills.
  • A positive, adaptable attitude and readiness to take initiative.

Your tasks:

1. Event Organizing: Helping our team plan, prepare, and run various community and educational events, beach cleenups, workshops, and activities for local people.

2. Cozy Hostel Creation: Helping us set up, decorate, and arrange a hostel space and our new office here in Liepāja to make it a welcoming place for future youth groups and volunteers.

3. Daily NGO Life: Getting involved in the everyday creative flow of our organization, helping in team volunteering activities, sharing your own ideas, and experiencing life by the Baltic Sea.
