The workcamp is the result of the collaboration between IBO Italia and the municipal administration of Amendolara that, together with the Assoc. “Mediterraneo Interiore,” promotes activities for environmental protection and historical-landscape recovery, focusing on the enhancement of the territory and its cultural identity.
The objective of the proposed activities is to enhance the area by recovering and highlighting the historical, natural and cultural heritage of the Amendolara community guided by expert figures such as a professional archaeologist, “Sea Scout” groups and researchers.
Volunteers will then be involved in: Cleaning the area facing the Torre Spaccata; Organization of an event directed to locals regarding sustainability; Cleaning activities in the historic center of Amendolara (Medieval Castle); Day dedicated to archaeological excavations (contrada San Nicola); Day of activities in the sea with the Zoological Station; Citizen science activities with Sea Scouts.
Ubytování, stravování, doprava
Accomodation is at Agriturismo “La Lista” in Contrada Lista (Amendolara). Volunteers will sleep in shared dormitory with single beds. Separate bathrooms.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be prepared by local staff with the help of the volunteers.

Arrive at the Amendolara-Oriolo train station.
Nearest airports are Lamezia Terme (SUF) or Bari Palese (BRI)
