We are seeking volunteers for a variety of work projects, ranging from carpentry to timber framing. The experience will be punctuated by an event in our community: a concert inside the medieval castle, to which we warmly invite volunteers to take an active part in both participation and organization. If you enjoy castles, communal living, music, and the countryside (Villandraut is a small village!), then we would be delighted to have you join us!

You will be welcomed to the charming village of Villandraut in South Gironde! It has all the essential local shops and services. You'll be living in collective dormitories in a large house. Meals are prepared by you, collectively. A whole diversity of landscapes to discover here. But here's the twist – get ready for some countryside living! Public transport is as rare as a shooting star around here, but fear not! We've got bicycles to share. Villandraut is waiting to welcome you with open arms!

The workcamps are supervised by a profesional who’s role is to organise the daily life and leisure activities and to teach you the gestures. The aim of this volunteering is to share a collective experience rich in intercultural encounters. We will be organising intercultural evenings so that everyone can cook a dish from their own country, share a typical dance, play a game, create world citizen workshops... You'll be taking part in group leisure activities: visiting a vineyard with wine tasting, heritage sites, bee-keeping, canoe trips, etc. The activities are flexible.

As part of the European Solidarity Corps we accept volunteers that are between 18 and 30 years old. If you've got a deep passion for heritage and environmental issues, consider that a bonus point!
