If you have an interest in the field of nature conservation, an attaction for the Spanish language, culture and country, this may be just the right opportunity for you. The Municipality of Alzira has a significant nature wealth.Amongst the places where the volunteer will work, the most iconic is: The Natural Municipality Area of la Murta and la Casella - a 745 hectares protected natural space, being entirely part of Alzira. It represents both natural and heritage values, since in its middle are the ruins of the 15th century Monastery of Nuestra Señora de La Murta. The main tasks are: Promote eco-citizenship Assisting in every activity related to the environmental department (furhter details given later or upong asking) The volunteer will work 35 weekly hours, distributed normally from Monday to Friday, including 3 hours of Spanish classes. Once a month, the volunteer will have to work on the weekends, hence having 2 free days during the week instead.
Ubytování, stravování, doprava
Accommodation costs are fully covered by our organization. The volunteers will have to share one flat in Alzira, with individual bedrooms and access to all the facilities (fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, TV, WiFi, etc). Every month volunteers will receive money for food (180€) and pocket money (105€). hence cooking your own meals is recommended. The hosting organization will also provides a bicycle for the volunteer, due to the need to travel to the on-site nature areas (around 35 minutes on bicycle).
Odborná příprava během činnosti
The volunteer will get information on EVS and the project from the sending organization. He/She will also be enrolled by the coordinating organisation on EVS On-arrival and Mid-term training sessions organized by the Spanish National Agency. Also, the volunteer will have 3 hours of Spanish class per week.
Profil účastníka
We are looking for volunteers from Erasmus+ programme countries, except from Bulgaria and Slovakia. (2 candidates were chosen from these countries) We are looking for a volunteer interested in outdoor activities. He/She should be open-minded and enthusiastic. An interest in nature conservation and environmental care will be appreciated. A basic level of Spanish and intermediate English are asked, so that he/she can communicate with work colleagues. The volunteer should be in a good physical conditionm due to the nature of the project and having to travel several kilometres to nature areas.
