Organisatsiooni kirjeldus:

Città Solidale is a social cooperative that since 1988 has been operating in Vicenza territory to give hospitality and support to adult disabled people that don’t have family or with familiar problems. The mission of the cooperative is:
- To promote the solidarity and the social justice
- To pay attention at the wellness and the needs of people
- To pay attention at the professionality of the staff (operators and educators)
- To make each worker to participate at the management of the cooperative in each level.
The cooperative designs projects and manages residential services for people with psychophysical disabilities in structures for temporary or permanent housing.
The aim of the cooperative is to create to the hosts a family atmosphere as much as possible. The hosts are involved, with the support of the staff in the management of the house (cleaning, cooking). The residential structures host for a maximum of 8 people and they are similar of common houses. The residential structures are 5 and they are located in strategic point of Vicenza territory to foster the social inclusion of the hosts in the local community. The service is opened every day, according to the needs of the hosts (some hosts work during the week, or visit the family in the week-end).
The staff of every residential structure is composed by professional workers (educators, operators O.S.S. and a responsible of the service). The workers have different competences but they always work as a team, especially with the hosts, so every worker contributes at the same level to the educational relationship with the host and at the same time with the personal care and the primary assistance. Each staff is responsible to:
- design a personal project for each host that is created to satisfy the basic needs but also the special needs (health, diet, hobbies)
- plan the activities of the group connected to the daily-life with the objective to promote in the hosts’ community a family environment. During the week the activities could be: shopping, short trip in the area and some playing activities like cinema, theatre, sport etc.
- plan activities to promote the integration of disabled people and the social inclusion in the local community. Hosted volunteers from the territory, take part in events organized by the local community like traditional festivals, and promote new ways of social integration.
- plan an holiday for the group of hosts every year in a touristic land.
