Organisatsiooni kirjeldus:

The Freie Montessorischule Stams is a private school, directed by a non profit association with governmental approval to teach children from the ages of 6 till 18 years old.
In our school there is no traditional teachings with grades, certificates and classrooms.
The children make their own choices on how their day will evolve, with their own chosen schoolwork. Their learning needs get met according to the individual developmental stage. This supports the children of our school to develop a high level of responsibility.
The school has space for approximately 30-40 children, which are accompanied every day by 3 teachers. Their function is to observe in the background the children and give them the support they need when they are asked for.
The main activity of the teachers is to observe the children, later on the day, in the afternoon as a team they share and discuss their observations and reflections.
Through this process of daily reflections they prepare an environment based with offers and pedagogical interventions.
The volunteers are invited to share their own skills, and assist the children with their offers while using the school materials.
Their welcomed to be part of our team and development, in a school which education is not based in competition and grades but in the cultivating of appreciation and self responsibility.
