Organisatsiooni kirjeldus:

Der Eine Welt Verein Leipzig engagiert sich seit 30 Jahren entwicklungspolitisch in der Bildungs- und Projektarbeit, darüber hinaus als freier Träger im offenen Kinder- und Jugendbereich. Dieser ist gemeinnützig auf dem Gebiet der Völkerverständigung, der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit und der Jugendhilfe, sowie Träger des IJFD, BFD, sowie von weltwärts und bietet somit jungen Erwachsenen Freiwilligendienste im Ausland an. Die Mitgliederzahl bewegt sich bei ca. 40, wobei der Vorstand geschäftsführend eingesetzt, von drei ehrenamtlichen Personen repräsentiert wird.
Wesentliche Bestandteile der Vereinsfelder seien hier benannt:
• außerschulische und schulische Jugendbildung
• interkulturelle und internationale Kinder- und Jugendarbeit
• internationale Jugendbegegnungen und multilaterale Workcamps
• Angebote zu globalem Lernen, Fluchtursachen, Kinderrechte u.v.m.
• Info- und Mediathek
• Projekte in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit
• Freiwilligenprogramme mit Italien, Indien, Russland, Nicaragua und Ukraine
• Weltladen- und Vernetzungsarbeit
Alle Aktivitäten werden von Mitarbeiter_innen und Ehrenamtlichen über Arbeitsgruppen begleitet und koordiniert.
Unsere Mitgliedschaften im Stadtjugendring, der AGJF und AGDF der Aktionsgemeinschaft Dienst für den Frieden, Qualitätsverbund und Zentrale Stelle unterstreichen diese Ausrichtung im Freiwilligenengagement. Alle Sending-Activities wurden in diesem Zusammenhang 2018 erfolgreich QUIFD-rezertifiziert.

The One World Association Leipzig has been involved in educational and project work in the field of development policy for 30 years, as well as being an independent organisation in the children and youth sector. It is a non-profit organisation in the field of international understanding, development cooperation and youth welfare, as well as an approved carrier of german volunteering programms such as IJFD, BFD and weltwärts, and thus offers young adults voluntary services abroad and in Germany. The number of members is about 40. The board of the mangers is made up of 3 local volunteers.

- Faire Trade shps and networking work in this sector
All activities are accompanied and coordinated by staff and local volunteers via working groups.
Our memberships in the Stadtjugendring,( umbrella organisation of local youth organizations) the AGJF (Working group for youth centers in Saxony)and AGDF (Action group service for peace)underline this orientation in volunteer work. In this context, all Sending Activities were successfully QUIFD recertified in 2018.
