JEA is an initiator in Special Youth Care, with 18 different facilities/services

.
JEA has a various offer for children/youngsters/ families, who have development/educational problems. Often, there is neglecting, educational problems, violenceor unacceptable behavior. We offer residential stay for kids/youngsers, who live together in small groups,life studio, and room training. We have 6 services, who guidefamilies or youngsters at their home : crisis guidance, keepcompany in their home,supervised independent living, guidance for youngsters who have committed criminal facts. We have also La Strada, a supporting unit for youngsters thatare already guided in one of the other JEA depts.Also externalorganizations (schools)can ask to participate in this supportingoffer. Yearly, JEA guides more or less 450 families.We have 3 residential institutions – Juno for age 3 – 20 , Hakatooage 0 – 12, Van Celst for girls between 14 – 20. There is a tightcollaboration with child/youngsters psychiatry. Biz Ikki : for minor refugees, who get residential stay and guidance. Then ‘ De Grote Robijn is a center for welcoming, orientation,and observation (OOOC). There is analyzed which kind of help is the best method for the youngsters that are in DGR for a temporary stay.We give a shelter there also for youngsters who are temporarily without aplace to live.Our mobile services work with youngsters/families through visits at home, during max. 2 years.
