Kerava Youth Services: Kerava youth services aims to provide activities for young people by customer orientated manner, including the youth already in planning process. Our pedagogical emphasis is based on educational, social empowering and meeting the individual needs of each young in all our stages in all our activities. Youth policy in youth services includes improving and empowering young people seizing the potential points of influencing and improving their living conditions and bringing out in the open the interests and issues of young people. Kerava youth services offers a variety of activities for children and young people in three youth spaces (Ahjo, Elzu and Tunneli), in mobile activities (Kerbiili), various small group activities (including game groups and primary school activities) and youth work in schools. In addition, camps, excursions and more are organized during the holidays activities. Youth services activities’ primary target group is children in the age of 10-17 years. Youth services do operate in multidisciplinary cooperation networks, both within the city and with other actors (e.g. Library services of Kerava, the Youth workshop Jenga, parish, local organizations). provided and developed in Kerava. The Youth Services employs c. 27 individuals.
