Organisatsiooni kirjeldus:

WeYouth Organization was established in 2013 by a group of Tunisian youth aged between 16 and 24 years old. Conducted by motivation, passion, and ambition to lead the development and participation of youth in various levels. WeYouth aim is to build Tunisia led by empowered Youth. It is to be achieved by the contribution to youth development through capacity building, youth-led projects, exchange programs, and youth policy implementation.
The goals of the Organization are accomplished mostly by the following means: 1-Give young people the skills that allow them to be leaders. 2- Advocate youth participation in decision-making. 3- Promote a sustainable culture of civic education and volunteerism. 4- Be involved in national and international youth movements. 5- Establish institutional management and transparency within the NGO community. 6- Consolidate the culture of peace and dialogue.
Currently, we’re focusing on the south of Tunisia as we believe there is a huge lack of access to opportunities and information in the communities of the south. The regions of the south have been marginalized as a result of the government socio-economical disinterest. Our organization has been tackling various local and regional issues and contribute to supporting any action or initiative aiming to solve them. During the last three years, we’ve worked on fostering the social and political participation of people, young people and women in their regions and with their municipalities. Through our yearly training program with the Young Mediterranean Voices, we have established a community of debaters tackling local and national issues and fighting for social change in their regions and beyond.
Youth are the primary target group of our organization. Among young people, we focus on the ones with fewer opportunities due to the actual socioeconomic situation in the south of Tunisia. Most of the youngsters face several socio-economic issues at home and quite a discouraging scene in terms of employment or education. The international activities and projects attract these communities and foster their involvement in tackling their local issues and take the matter into their hands.
