Organisatsiooni kirjeldus:

Caritas Diocesana de Plasencia is a non-profit non-governmental organization, which objective is the realization of the charitable and social action of the Church in the Diocese, as well as to promote, coordinate and serve as a channel for the Christian Communication of Goods in all its forms and to help the human promotion and integral development of men, especially the most disadvantaged or neglected.
The purposes of Caritas are:

a) Spreading the spirit of charity and social justice, seeking to form the conscience of the community Christian Communication of Goods and the Fulfillment of the Duties of the justice according to the guidelines of the Hierarchy.
b) Promote and coordinate initiatives, both on its own and in collaboration with other entities, for solving the problems of those in need, and cooperating for the purposes of Caritas with provincial and regional social assistance and action agencies, as well as with charitable organizations of other faiths.
c) To encourage people to volunteer for service and charitable-social action and to train permanently to all its members in the spirit and work of Caritas.
d) Study the problems posed by poverty in the Diocese, investigate its causes and be a voice and critical conscience and promote, encourage and urge solutions even in the face of structural injustices, in keeping with the dignity of the person and the demands of justice.
e) To coordinate and promote the activities of Parish and Interparroquial Caritas, Archdiocesan Commissions, Associations and Institutions for Charitable and Social Action integrated in Diocesan Caritas, and to promote the Christian Communication of Goods between them.
f) Collaborating in the development of initiatives undertaken by those in need to improve their living conditions.
g) Promoting and assisting developing countries through projects and actions of awareness, development and emergency campaigns.
h) Contribute to the functional development of its members and especially promote the creation of Parish Caritas and Archdiocesan Commissions where they are not organized.
i) Provide care for individuals and groups when institutions and entities of the Church or of civil society do not do so or do so insufficiently.
