Caritas für Menschen in Not (Caritas for people in Need) is one of the four institutions of Caritas in
Upper Austria. Our mission is to help in times of need, help in everyday life. The main aim of our work
is to enable people to look after themselves on their own. We help anyone, regardless of creed,
colour, political tendencies or personal fault. We respect peoples' dignity and accept them as they
are. We do not work with their deficits, but with their resources. The organisation is a catholic related
social service organisation which works in the field of people in special need. This includes projects
for particularly disadvantaged people like homeless, asylumseekers and migrants. Service is offered
very close to clients, so the target groups can be reached very easily through our social work and
counselling. The variety of services covers help and solutions for a big variety of difficult situations in
life. We offer help for people in need in Austria and abroad like: -information centres: citizens advice
bureau for Austrians, EU-citizens, refugees, immigrants -accompanied living for single mothers,
excon -day centres and Meeting Points for the homeless -integration work and centres -commodity
donations: collection and allocation -foreign aid
