Organisatsiooni kirjeldus:

We are non-profit organization and our main target is to represent rights of people with disability, especially persons with mental disabilities. Society "Rīgas pilsētas "Rupju bērns"" takes care of people with mental disorders, deals with their problems and promotes their integration into society. We are family member based organization. We organize community based social services, free time activities and represent interests of people with disability in national level. The Society was founded in 1994 and has implemented numerous larger and smaller projects in 25 years.
In 2019, the Society runs 5 day care centers, three group apartments, specialized carpentry workshops, family assistant services, ABA therapy studies for children with autism, and a group of advocacy. The staff of the Society is involved in the drafting of normative acts, elaboration of planning documents at local and national level. More than 200 people with intellectual disabilities use the services provided by the Society every day.
