The "Escola The "Escola Waldorf de Vallgorguina" is quietly situated in the forest of Montnegre, about halfway between Barcelona and Girona, about 500m from the village of Vallgorguina. The kindergarten of the association "Espai per als Infants" exists since 2005, first in Samalus. The steady growth and increasing interest in the Waldorfpädagig led to a move in 2011 to the existing facilities in Vallgorguina and to the opening of the elementary school. Today our institution consists of two kindergarten groups, which take care of children between the ages of 3 and 6 years and the elementary school, classes 1 to 6. Altogether, almost 100 children are looked after here according to Waldorf education. For us, this means perceiving the children in their individuality and designing lessons in kindergarten and elementary school for health-promoting aspects. The days are laid out rhythmically and thus offer the children great security and development opportunities.

The kindergarten children as well as the first two elementary school classes have 1 to 2 forest days which are permanently integrated into the weekly cycle. In addition, our school attaches great importance to craftsmanship and artistic expression as well as to a healthy daily routine. Children from different nationalities come to our school. Elementary school children are taught in three languages, Catalan, Spanish and English.

Seasons festivals and intensive parenting work have a permanent place in our facility.

Among other things, teachers and parents organize working groups, lectures and other training opportunities to introduce and deepen Waldorf education.

The volunteers are integrated into the school community and work with us in kindergarten and elementary school.

In the course of the year, each volunteer will work out a personal project.
